Dr Emma Bulley, MA
My art practice encompasses painting, drawing, photography and installation.
Having gained an MA in Fine Art and a PhD in Art Theory, I lectured for 20 years in Higher Education (at B.A. and M.A. level) in both Fine Art and Contextual Studies until 2010.
Currently I work in a range of Adult Education settings; I bring my experience of being a practising artist to my delivery of art history as well as my practical art classes.
Most recently I have undertaken research into the first woman artist ever to gain international renown - Sofonisba Anguissola (c.1535-1625) emphasizing the modernity of some of her ideas to a contemporary audience.
I am an accredited lecturer with The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS).
